Cleveland BioLabs, Inc. is an innovative biopharmaceutical company seeking to develop first-in-class pharmaceuticals designed to address diseases with significant medical need.
CBLI is an undervalued stock with an attractive oncology pipeline including biologics and small molecules, all with novel targets and well defined mechanisms of action.
All of CBLI’s drugs have compelling pre-clinical evidence in areas of unmet medical need, such as lung, pancreatic, or pediatric cancers like neuroblastoma.
Three of CBLI’s cancer drug candidates are already in Phase 1 trials and others are close behind.
CBLI has been overlooked by the recent biotech bounce, but is primed to deliver first clinical data points on 2-3 potential cancer drugs.
Markers of activity and safety to be shown in several Phase 1 trials being completed in 2014/2015.
CBLI also has potential for value creation with its advanced radiation countermeasure which is in Phase 3 development for government use to protect from lethal exposure.
CBLI has a Ph3 radiation countermeasure being developed through FDA’s Animal Rule.
They have established survival of non-human primates from lethal radiation exposure and safety in humans, as required.
CBLI has achieved over $80 million in past government grants and contracts for the radiation program, but the stock has been beaten up due to lack of recent funding.
They remain on track with FDA, however and are meeting with the FDA in July to pursue Emergency Use Authorization, which provides a faster track to potential US and foreign sales.
